Westall Family Foundation Grants Program : Empowering Change, One Grant at a Time
Application Timeline and Process:
The Westall Family Foundation is dedicated to nurturing initiatives that foster growth and opportunity within youth programs, small businesses, and underprivileged families. We invite nonprofit organizations aligned with our mission to apply for funding through our annual grants program.
Key Dates:
- Application Period: Opens December 1st, Closes February 28th at midnight.
- Grant Announcements: Winners notified in May.
Application Steps:
- Online Submission Only: Access our grant application form. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot accept proposals via mail or fax.
- Timely Submissions: Ensure your application is submitted by February 28th. Late submissions will not be considered.
- Funding Requests: We consider proposals requesting between $1,000 and $5,000. Requests beyond the upper limit listed will not be considered.

- Finalize and submit your application within the open window for consideration (see dates above)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Who Can Apply: Only tax-exempt nonprofit organizations. Individual requests are not eligible.
- Areas of Focus: Proposals should align with our core interests in education, youth programs, small businesses, and underprivileged families.
- Annual Applications: Previous grant recipients are welcome to apply each year, reflecting our updated policy as of February 2024.
- One Proposal Per Cycle: Each eligible organization may submit one application per cycle, with exceptions made for school districts (one per school).
Geographic Focus:
Our grant-making efforts are currently focused in Illinois and Wisconsin, aiming to directly impact the communities within these regions.

Decision Communication:
All applicants will be informed of their proposal’s status. A grant denial does not reflect on the project’s merit but rather the competitive nature of our grant-making process.
